Scaleway (EU)

scaleway/routes to Scaleway's inference platform — a French cloud provider hosting a mix of open-weight and partner models, entirely from the EU.

What it is

Scaleway's inference API is plain OpenAI-compatible — no translation layer, no special auth, same shape every other /v1/chat/completions-speaking provider uses. It's a real, distinct hosting account (not a resale of another provider's models the way Vertex's Model Garden works) — Mizan calls Scaleway's own endpoint directly, on Mizan's own platform credential.

Supported models

A mix of open-weight models (Mistral, Qwen, Llama, Gemma, DeepSeek, GPT-OSS) and Z.AI's GLM 5.2, all served from Scaleway's own hosting. Scaleway also offers embedding-only and audio-transcription models (e.g. bge-multilingual-gemma2, whisper-large-v3) — those aren't routable through Mizan, which only has a chat-completions endpoint, no embeddings or audio API. Pricing and currency conversion

Scaleway publishes and bills Mizan in EUR — every other provider Mizan routes to bills in USD. Rather than hardcode a EUR→USD conversion once (which would drift real margin every time the exchange rate moves), Mizan converts Scaleway's EUR list price to USD automatically at the start of every daily catalog sync, using a live rate from the European Central Bank (via frankfurter.dev). The price you're billed is always current to within a day of the real exchange rate — if that day's rate can't be fetched, Mizan leaves the previous day's price in place rather than guess.

How it's billed

Platform-only, like Vertex: every scaleway/ call bills your Mizan wallet directly (the USD-converted price above). No BYOK connection type exists for Scaleway yet.
